Wildlife
Here at Jake Brake Hollow, we have a very healthy ecosystem, from whitetail deer to eastern turkeys, to kingfishers and cranes, and everything in between.
Old Architecture
These aren't just old buildings, they are time capsules from a different era, a different generation, and a glimpse into the past. Having the chance to still be able to capture something built over a hundred years ago, is something you can do that the people who built it couldn't.
Landscape
Being deep in the mountains, there is a lot of opportunity to be able to capture lots of colors in one shot, whether it be the luscious green canopies of the hardwoods, or the hundreds of different species of flowers that reside along the creeks and hayfields.
Fungi
The deep hollows of West Virginia are scattered with tons of colorful fungi mushrooms, whether they are morels along the creeks or chicken of the woods growing off the trees. There is an opportunity to find different fungi around every corner and in every hollow!
Night Sky
What better way is there to cap off your day of photography and videography in the Appalachian Mountains than to take breathtaking photos of the millions of stars or timelapses of asteroids flying by in the night sky.
Appalachia
In the Appalachian Mountains, we do things a little bit differently, and we take after no other. Everyone and everything here are unique, so keep your camera handy whether you're walking to the bottom of a deep hollow or riding down an old country dirt road, because you never know when that once-in-a-lifetime shot may be hiding right around the next corner!
